Fred E. Bierer

Fred E. Bierer

President of Construction, Myrtle Beach Office

Fred Bierer began his career with Glenmark in April of 1985. Aside from CEO Mark R. Nesselroad, Mr. Bierer has been with the company for the greatest number of years. His hands-on knowledge of the company’s grassroots beginning through its enormous growth has proven invaluable, time and time again.

As Fred began his employment with Glenmark, his initial duties focused on directing the day-to-day operations of Glenmark’s construction company. Those early projects included renovations, additions, and new construction of nursing home facilities. Glenmark soon expanded into commercial construction and Mr. Bierer’s duties, skills, and know-how expanded rapidly and simultaneously with the company. In charge of projects that include office buildings, retail banking, restaurants, and much more, Fred utilizes his skills in multiple ways. Adept at handling each project’s unique challenge, Mr. Bierer has a history of tackling every task with proficiency, diligence, and efficiency.

Fred has considerable experience with building site infrastructure, including major earthwork, coal mine reclamation/redevelopment projects, primary utility extensions and relocations, “controlled-access highway” improvements, site access roadways, coal mine grouting and stabilization, storm-water piping and retention systems, and adverse topographic and soil conditions. With over 29 years in the industry, Mr. Bierer is accomplished at site analysis, property evaluation, project budgeting, and coordinating all specialty contractors.

In charge of development and project consulting in the South Carolina region since 2006, Fred Bierer lives in the Myrtle Beach area with his wife Charlotte. They have two children.
