Responsible for legal matters and certain operational aspects of the company, Mr. Nesselroad reports directly to Glenmark’s CEO, Mark R. Nesselroad. After spending three years at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as an associate lawyer in the firm’s business department, Mr. Nesselroad joined the Glenmark team in 2012. As chief legal counsel, Mr. Nesselroad’s responsibilities include oversight of the company’s affairs, contract review and drafting, and liaison with the company’s outside counsel.
At Steptoe & Johnson, one of the most well-respected firms in the United States Mid-Atlantic region, Mr. Nesselroad focused his practice in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions, and business organizations. Mr. Nesselroad’s representative experience includes assisting clients with and drafting documents necessary to form, sell, and purchase limited liability companies and corporations; form and manage planned residential communities; structure, finance, and close a wide variety of residential and commercial and real estate transactions; and acquire and lease commercial properties and shopping centers. Additionally, Mr. Nesselroad is experienced in preparing consulting agreements for business operations or restructuring, fund raising, and other purposes; matters related to the purchase, sale, leasing, and FAA registration of private aircraft; real property tax and zoning issues; franchise agreements; and securities laws regarding multi-state Regulation 506 private placement securities offerings.
Active in civic and charitable pursuits, Mr. Nesselroad is the Treasurer of Morgantown High School Foundation, Inc., a 501 (C) (3) (a non-profit dedicated to fostering and enhancing the academic opportunities for MHS students and faculty), and he is a member of Morgantown’s Comprehensive Plan Update Steering Committee and Joint Vision Group. Mr. Nesselroad is a native of Morgantown, WV and is married to Lauren M. Nesselroad.
